Medicare item numbers that will apply:
17610: Pre-anaesthesia consultation by anaesthetist
22900: Anaesthesia for extraction of teeth – or
22905: Anaesthesia for restorative dental work
Plus the relevant item number corresponding to the time of the procedure (in the table below)
Medicare Benefits: The Medicare benefits detailed here are a guide only, please contact Medicare directly to confirm the benefit on each item number
Age limit: Paul is happy to sedate kids as young as 5 years old through IV Sedation, and any age under general anaesthetic
Full payment for the anaesthetic needs to be paid 7 days before surgery, or at the time of booking. Cancellation fees will apply once payment is made

What do I need to know before surgery?
Stop eating and drinking 6 hours before the procedure
Stop drinking water 2 hours before the
Take important medications with a small sip
of water, unless advised otherwise
You will need a responsible adult to
take you home after the procedure. Your procedure will be cancelled if this
is not arranged prior
You must not drive or operate heavy or dangerous equipment
for 24 hours after the procedure
Ensure you take post-operative medications
and follow instructions as described by the practitioners
